Kouros Sauna (GESLOTEN)

If you compare this sauna to other ones within a 100km radius, this is definitely the best one.

I’ve visited twice now and always had a good time. Lots of interesting people and the place is really relaxing. Theres an outside jacuzzi set in a really beautiful garden. And an outside pool. It’s great being outside and naked. It’s easy to find with a sat nav and parking is available.

Kouros is not in Antwerp but in Schoten, a suburb between Merksem and Schilde, so please correct the address. It is accessible by public transit on bus line 610 from the village of Oelegem. Kouros is an old country house in a very large garden with outdoor sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. It has a great restaurant and is the ideal place to chat with your friends and relax. Don't expect a cruisy atmosphere though! The owners and staff are very kind but most customers are blasé to anyone who is not a lifelong friend. The building itself has seen better days and is somewhat dated, but the steambath was renovated recently and is ready for action.

Sauna is ok, but to many childish rules. If you don't follow the rules staff can be quite aggressive. And camera's in the locker-room? really for the customers safety? Please give some privacy. A good sauna should provide it's clients with fresh water free of charge. For example the NZ sauna has small fountain with fresh water. And the new fashion is everyone in bathing-suite. I thought a sauna is to be naked, just a towel. I felt like an outcast. Further more everything is old, wouldn't repeat it or recommend it.
