Anchor Inn Beach House

Anchor Inn Beach House is a waterfront guesthouse at the beginning of Provincetown’s West End, one of the best areas to stay if you want to be close to the gay scene while still having a quieter base by the water. The property sits directly on Commercial Street, so many of P-Town’s gay bars, restaurants and nightlife spots are within easy walking distance.

Rooms are individually styled, with several offering private balconies, fireplaces and views across Provincetown Harbor. Ocean-view rooms are the ones to go for if you want to make the most of the location. 

There’s a continental breakfast served in the lobby, and the hotel also has a lounge area for guests. 

For gay travelers, the main draw is the location: you’re close to the West End and can walk along Commercial Street to much of Provincetown’s gay nightlife without needing a car.
